The Remnant
Our mission is Jesus. Family. Fellowship. We don't want to play church. We want to equip people to BE the church. We want people to experience God's life-changing power through His truth and grace. We want people to have a REAL relationship with a REAL God who REALLY loves them. We are not a dead Church. We don't do Religion. We worship JESUS! We reject Cozy Christianity! This is HIS Church, and WE are His REMNANT people.

Who's Your Master?

• Principle = No Submission, No Success
3 Actions we MUST take as Christians:
1. SUBMIT to your masters? (1 Peter 2:18)
- Submission of Employee to Employer
- good or bad bosses – doesn’t matter – submit
- in everything…trying to please them all the time
(Colossians 3:22)
Why?
o because of your fear of the Lord (Colossians 3:22)
o Your job is your mission field (Titus 2:9-10)
How?
o As Christians we must work as though working for the Lord vs. people (Colossians 3:23)
- When we submit to human authority it demonstrates our submission to God’s authority
- Exception – if submission would ever contradict your obedience to the Lord (Acts 5)
2. SUFFER for doing good (1 Peter 2:19-21)
- No credit for suffering for your own sin (vs. 20)
- You’ve been called for this very purpose (vs. 21)
- You will suffer (2 Timothy 3:12, James 1:2)
3. SEEK to follow Him (1 Peter 2:21-25)
- Jesus gave himself as an example for us
How did He do it?
o He kept entrusting himself to His Father
(vs. 23)
o Human strength + willpower = not enough
Why did He do it?
o so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (vs. 24)
