Blinded by the Light

In today’s message we come to one of the most significant and extraordinary days in the history of the church, the conversion of Saul of Tarsus. Luke stresses the importance of this conversion by referring to it three times in great detail in the Book of Acts: C9, C22 and C26. And Paul himself alludes to it frequently in his epistles. The unique conversion of this most unlikely convert…became the pivot not only on which his life turned, but on which the entire history of the church turned. It was a great day. Saul’s conversion was truly remarkable and it's a great evidence of how God can take the lowest of the lows…and the worst of the worst and make them the best. Nobody is ever too low to be redeemed. Sometimes we as humans might wonder whether the grace of God can be extended to certain people we know…but so often that's exactly where the grace of God does its greatest and most glorious work.
