Ephesians 4.30-5.2: One of the most destructive powers in life is bitterness of soul. If not resolved or worked through, it can lead to great destruction within families, communities, nations, and oneself. Paul urges the Christian to rid oneself of it and the ugly fruits of bitterness. This takes soul inspection and to rely on the words from above, forgiveness, grace, and the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ.
