Jesus said, Matthew 5:13 (NKJV) “You ARE the SALT of the earth…” Basically, Jesus declared that you have a new IDENTITY – You ARE SALT! We need salt to live! In today’s study pastor Alexander states that salt not only helps keep your body alive and functioning, but salt has at least THREE primary PURPOSES: It enhances taste, it provokes thirst, and it preserves. In like manner we are to embody these same three functions in living our lives as the Salt of the Earth!
