As the second to the last Sunday with Pastor Ryan Couch as the lead pastor of Calvary Chapel of Crook County, Pastor Ryan uses the opportunity to preach from Nehemiah chapter 1. In Nehemiah 1, we find a Jewish man named Nehemiah having a heavy burden on his heart for the city of Jerusalem after receiving a report of the condition of the city at that time. He discovers that the walls are destroyed, the gates have been burned, and the people suffer greatly and are afraid. It is at this point that Nehemiah begins to seek the Lord through prayer, fasting, repentance, supplication, and remembering God's promises.
