When people drift away from church—or from faith itself—it can feel like they’ve disappeared without a trace. But Jesus reminds us in Luke 15 that God never stops seeking, never stops pursuing, never stops valuing each one who is lost. The parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin show us that God’s heart is not in counting who remains, but in rejoicing over the one who returns. This Sunday we’ll reflect on where people go when they leave the church, but more importantly, on where God goes: into the wilderness, into the shadows, into the forgotten corners—until the lost are found, and joy is restored.
