Over the next six weeks, we will be studying the Gospel of Matthew. We will look at different stories that point to Jesus as Messiah. Because the expectation of who the promised Messiah would be didn’t quite match up with the way God chose to send him, few were able to see beneath the surface that Jesus was actually the Messiah. I wonder what honestly comes to mind when you think about what Jesus has done and allowed to happen in life. How might seeing him as our deliverer change our perspective on who Jesus is and impact the way we live?
