II. The Exhortation to fight James 4:7 A. The average Christian never hears much about the enemy and as a result most of his actions are God-ward. 1. No verse says to run from David but resist! 2. Nothing wrong with praying over worries. B. How do you fight back? With the Christian armor in Ephesians 6 III. The encouragement to fight I john 4:4 A. God is saying you have a greater power within you than is in the world B. God is encouraging us to fight – We must resist the Devil if he is to flee. IV. The example to follow A. v.2,3 Jesus fought back with the Word of God. B. v. 6 Satan used Scripture. Jesus used Scripture again. C. v.8,9 Jesus again responded with Scripture v. 10 The Lord knew that what we worship, we serve! Who or what we serve, we sacrifice for! D. The Devil then left Him! James 4:7
