Recently, I was at a leadership meeting for incoming church officers and one of the questions asked was: "Are you a risk taker?" Of the incoming thirty or so deacons and elders who would spiritually lead the church for the next few years, not a single one raised their hand. This isn’t unique to church leadership. More often than not, our needs for control and comfort prevent risk taking in our lives. However, as followers of Jesus, we have been called to be risk takers! Join us this Sunday as we listen at the feet of Jesus to how those who follow Him must risk everything for Him and His kingdom. -- Pastor Samuel Weems
