La Variabilidad del Hombre: Parte II - The Variableness of Man: Part II
Speaker: Pastor Edgar Vera
THE VARIABLENESS OF MAN: Perhaps there is nothing more variable than the wind. It changes direction, its speed, and intensity. Meteorologists have developed tools to measure the direction, speed, and intensity of the wind. Weather vanes, anemometers, and wind socks are used for understanding wind's behavior. Yet, wind is a good analogy for the temperament and commitment level of man. Man changes. For this reason, on more than one occasion we've found ourselves trusting in someone, only to be betrayed and let down. The Bible paints a grim picture of those who depend in men. It says, "cursed is the man who trusts in man, who draws his strength from the arm of flesh (Jeremiah 17:5,6)." It goes on further to describe a parched juniper tree, in the midst of a barren desert, fruitless in a salted soil. That's the picture the Scriptures give of those who depend on men for their progress and success in life. Yet the Scriptures paint a far brighter picture for those who trust in the Lord! It goes on to say, that those who trust in the Lord are blessed, fruitful, prosperous, confident, and able to withstand the worst of droughts (Jeremiah 17:8,9). God isn't like the wind or the unreliability of man. He's worthy of our trust. In this sermon, you'll learn that God isn't like men, who quickly forget in their success who was their companion in their adversity. They rapidly forget, on the rise, who helped them, and who was with them in their most difficult times of their lives. This is the variable nature of man. Yet, God says in His word, that albeit a mother will forget her child, He will never forget you! You are inscribed in the palms of His hands, and your walls are ever before Him. He cannot and will not forsake you (Isaiah 49:15, 16)! Please listen to this message so that you may learn more about the invariableness and constant love of your God. www.sermon.net/iglesiabrazosabiertos
