The Lord wants all of us to have a plain understanding of what it means to live a life of righteousness. In order to do this, we need to rid ourselves of anything that holds us back and ties us down. We need to not only forsake the major sins that so often take center stage in the world, we should also look to let go of any sin that leads to eternal death and destruction.
