Advent in Greek is Adventis which translates to "coming". The promise of Christ was made at the beginning, and for those who lived throughout the Old Testament, the coming Messiah couldn't come any sooner. The same translated for the disciples in the New Testament. When would His second coming happen? It can be the same in our lives. When will the next good thing happen?
