The multitude praising God as Jesus enters Jerusalem had a general idea of shat Jesus was all about. When Passover occurs the multitude has changed in realization of what Jesus claims are not the claims they want to hear. The multitude has thinned considerably by the time of Pentecost. They were waiting and praying for what they knew not. The Holy Spirit fell on them and filled them.
