A believer somewhere, was actively engaged with the work of the Lord. He was might have been caring for the widows and the orphans, teaching in some capacity, Praying, taking in the word of God and being a faithful slave to the Lord Jesus Christ whom he looks forward to meeting one day. And then one day, he is handed a letter from and elder, the Apostle John. A letter out of the blue which he did not expect but one in which he would keep, read again and again and it would help to give him encouragement when times would get hard for him as a Christian.
