Abigail and the Fool

The story of Abigail is a demonstration of wisdom. There are two men in her life: the future king David and her husband, Nabal. Nabal's name means "fool" and he lives up to it! The wisdom of Abigail was useless because his foolishness made it impossible to listen. It is important to surround ourselves with wise voices, especially when they tell us what we don't want to hear. It's especially important then to listen!
