Called By Name

Isaiah 43 begins with a beautiful description of what God has done for Israel, calling them by name and protecting them from harm. But the chapter ends with a reprimand: "But you have not called on me!" God was faithful, but Israel was not. Israel left God and faced the dire consequences. But even in this, God continues calling them by name and calling them back to return to him.
