Hearts of Integrity

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls his followers to be people of integrity. They are to live according to higher moral principles than the world, which means doing things that aren't always in their interests, but for the good of others. Christians are to keep their promises. They are not to seek revenge. They are to love their enemies. These are things which we cannot "go through the motions," but can only be done with changed hearts.
