Responding to God's Compassion

Lesson 10 in a series on Deuteronomy. Moses continually reminded Israel of their story. It is the story of God’s grace, generosity, and compassion. Deuteronomy 26 draws a connection between what God has done and what we should do. They are to show concern for the vulnerable, for God showed concern when Israel was vulnerable. They are to be compassionate as God has been compassionate. Through their story, God was inviting them to participate in God’s blessings.
