Faith is a hard thing. But maybe. Just maybe. Maybe it’s then a good thing that we have all these other punch-drunk disciples. Maybe it’s a good thing that we have all these other borderline-incoherent accounts of the resurrected Christ. Because we can’t poke him in the side. But we can meet him in the breaking of the bread. And we can’t see the marks of the nails. But we can join him at by the waters of grace.
