In this passage, David and his men "happened" to be in the same cave as Saul, who was seeking David's life. David’s men look at it as providential, but David looked at it as a temptation to get the throne by a short cut. His men saw it as an opportunity for ascension, but David saw it as an opportunity to show mercy and wait for God’s timing. God has a perfect plan and will for your life. But the end to which he has ordained for you must be reached by a behavior that He approves.
