The disciples were complicated, ambitious, troubled, sinful men, and had different personalities that put them at odds with each other at times. Not in spite, but because of those reasons, Jesus chose each one of them. He loved them all and knew it took all of their individual differences and quirks to express the full picture of God’s love.
