The Church's Legacy

Welcome to this service where, in celebration of our bicentennial, we will worship as if it’s 1817. The order of the service, song selection and message are all in keeping with the simple traditions of our ancestors. We are even blessed to have as a special guest the first pastor of our congregation, the Most Reverend William Matthews, portrayed by Kenneth Hammontree, historian, lecturer and author, from Living History productions. Mr. Hammontree has a repertoire of many characters from history that he performs, but he developed this morning’s presentation solely to help us celebrate our bicentennial.
