A clean heart

We must avoid the kind of love that is only talk. Instead, our love should show itself in actions. And since even good deeds can be done with a hypocritical attitude or false motives, God added that the works of love should be done in truth. Sometimes "works" have received a bad name, but there is nothing wrong with them if done with the right motive.
