That is that the father is calling to us to come closer to him. He's calling us up higher, whereby we can bypass the schemes of the enemy that are aimed at getting us to settle for a lower standard of living. The stranger whispers that we are disqualified and ill-equipped from this sort of intimate connection with the father but these are lies. We know the voice of our good shepherd and he bids us, come up higher.
