Liberty for the Christian does not mean that we can do whatever we want but also serve the Lord at the same time. No, it means that we are free to do what we ought to do. We are free to serve the Lord. We can't fulfill the lust of the flesh and bear the fruit of the Spirit. It is one or the other. It is this or that, but it can't be both.
